                          Welcome

Several years prior to retiring from public education as an elementary Art Educator, I pondered on what my career choice would have been had I been afforded the opportunity to "do it over again."  Fortunately, I didn't have to do this for very long.  Truly, there is very little I would change if given the chance.  I have had the awesome experience of working with kids for 30 years and it is my wish to continue this journey at The Creative Commons Art Studio; my home studio.  In Pflugerville ISD, I worked with some of the most talented art teachers imaginable. They could inspire creations on a shoestring budget and have kids turning out masterpieces, while only being given 45 instructional minutes, per student, per week.  WOW!  That's a tough assignment.  And for all the testing requirements, minute by minute scheduling and other responsibilities of daily school life, there is very little time......little time for the fine arts, little time to just sit and create, little time to try out how something might look or work.  The result of overcoming and mastering this challenge is what I bring with me into this new venture at The Creative Commons Art Studio.  This setting allows all students the time to envision, explore and create at a slower pace, with fewer students, and with an artistic outcome that you may genuinely call your own.  I welcome you, your family and your friends to my home studio.  I invite you to look over our course offerings and see if there is anything you wish to try out.  Take some time from your busy schedule and come enjoy creating at The Creative Commons Art Studio.
